Founded 55 years ago, SCI Technology is an aerospace manufacturing company. SCI, a Huntsville, Alabama-based manufacturing company, provides the highest quality in defense industry. SCI's facility spans 685,000 sq. ft. and contains a range of manufacturing facilities as well as test and production areas. Recently, executives from Sanmina visited the SCI facility. They met with SCI’s leadership team and got to know more about SCI’s operations and daily activities. They also met with 20 U.S. Army Acquisition personnel, from different agencies.

SCI Technology provides a variety of products and services to help the defense industry provide unmatched quality and support. SCI Technology can be called a division of Sanmina Corporation. The company has its headquarters in Huntsville and a manufacturing facility in Huntsville. The company's goal is to develop partnerships with future Army Acquisition Leaders.


The company's product range includes a variety products including the Individual Integrated Visual Augmentation System, (IVAS), which is designed and manufactured by Microsoft. This system is due to begin production in fiscal 2021. The ruggedized smartphone can be used to view maps and tactical data, as well as to send and read text messages. The system also features a weapon-sight device, which allows soldiers to locate their weapon. The company also produces a variety smart-soldier eyewear and the TALENT KEYHOLE Control System, which will be available in fiscal 2021.

SCI also offers a variety of other services and products, including the Special Intelligence (SI) program and the HUMINT Control System (HCS). SCI provides services for Defense Intelligence Agency. SCI plans to develop a new rapid targeting acquisition system. This system will combine a special thermal weapons station with a M4A1 gunbine.

SCI Technology fosters partnerships with future Army Acquisition leaders. The Individual Qualification Course (IQC), a three-week program that trains acquisition officers to manage, lead and execute their jobs, is offered by SCI Technology. IQC offers an overview of the acquisition process and covers a variety of topics, including manufacturing, quality control, engineering, test, and product development.
